Therefore, growing older actually means to me growing younger!!
When we reach a certain age we cannot help, but use that original wisdom to live in full awareness and recognize what is good or not for our bodies without letting external influences take over our will and awakeness. It’s amazing to discover how easy is to maintain a healthy and youthful-looking by just turning as close as possible to nature, and for nature, I refer to unprocessed ingredients that occur naturally only in Mother Earth and are not formulated and combined in labs with endocrine disrupters such as parabens, sulfates, alcohol or synthetics. I even refer to those ones manufactured with the most sustainable, innovative, and natural, but processed ingredients and materials.
Nature is here to take care of all of us as well as we all are to take care of it. Let’s take that to our advantage and make the best use of it for a healthier, brighter, smoother, and more glowing face skin appearance only with what we have hidden in our pantry all while preserving some bucks in our wallets, protecting our body from unnecessary chemicals, Mother Earth from industrial waste and our local environment from empty and used plastic containers or bottles of beauty products.
This is one of my best natural face skincare routines in 9 steps for women of all ages, but overall for women over 50:
Step 1. EXFOLIATION. Eliminates dead skin cells and prepares the skin for the full treatment. You need 1 tsp Himalayan salt or coconut sugar with 1/2 tsp of olive, hemp, or almond oil. Mix the ingredients and scrub gently onto the face skin. Wash it off with warm water or a washcloth.
Step 2. CLEANSING. Cleanses and removes oil, impurities, and makeup. Balances and hydrates the skin. Minimizes the appearance of bumps, dark spots, and redness. You need either purified or distilled water or hamamelis/witch hazel or micellar water. Soak a cotton pad, press it against your face, then lift it away.
Step 3. HYDRATION. Restores, hydrates, repairs, protects, and prevent wrinkles. You need my master facial mask: natural yogurt or kefir, manuka or bee honey, hydrolyzed fish collagen powder, lemon juice or Vit C powder, olive, coconut, and almond oil. Mix small quantities of all ingredients in a small glass container until form a cream-like mask. Apply on to your face and neck and leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse with plenty of lukewarm water.
Step 4. DRINKING WATER. Hydrates the skin from the inside out. Take a pause and drink pure water.
Step 5. DRY SKIN BRUSHING FACE. Improves blood circulation, stimulates lymph drainage, unclogs pores, brings out the natural moisture of the skin, and promotes skin detox. You need a bamboo face brush with 100% natural soft bristles. To tighten the skin, start brushing from the chin and work your way up. Give your neck and cheeks a gentle and slow brushing with love.
Step 6. MOISTURIZER. Nourishes and hydrates your skin, provides a soothing protective film, improves the appearance of dry and aging skin, a natural mixture of amino acids which help attract, retain and redistribute water. Prepare my master facial cream by mixing shea butter and coconut, olive, almond, and avocado oil at a 3:1:1:1:1 ratio.
Step 7. FACIAL MASSAGE. Brightens the skin, smooths wrinkles, promotes blood circulation, reduces swelling and wrinkles, tightens the skin and relaxes muscles, and makes the skin more elastic. Use Your fingers or a Jade or quartz roller and a cold Gua Sha stone. They are widely used for anti-aging, and anti-wrinkle lines, reducing dark circles and rejuvenating the skin.
Step 8. PROTECTION. Apply a few drops of Vitamin E on your face and gently distribute them with the tip of your middle finger all on your cheeks, forehead, and chin. It will protect your skin from the sunlight.
Step 9. BREATH and RELAXATION. Take the time to calm and relax your facial muscles before you continue with your home chores by taking deep breaths in and long breaths out while smelling the delicate aroma of some lavender essence.
Never let your biological age determine your inner and outer look. You are as young as your heart pleases. Be and live your forever young from the inside out and in harmony with nature.
With love,
Ivette
